Das norwegische Duo Lemaitre erblickte 2010 das Licht der Welt. Auf ihrer Debüt-EP "The Friendly Sound" bezirzten sie Fans und Kritiker mit raffinierten Elektro-Pop Sounds und eingängigen Melodien. In den letzten 10 Jahren haben Ketil Jansen und Ulrik Denizou Lund kaum Pausen zum durch atmen eingelegt. Die neue „JGM“ EP der mittlerweile in Los Angeles lebenden Band, wird am 22. Mai auf Substellar Records im Vertrieb von Imperial veröffentlicht. Benannt nach und gewidmet an ist die EP dem engen Freund und Kollegen Johannes Greve Muskat, der im letzten Jahr urplötzlich verstorben ist. „JGM“ ist zweifellos ihr bisher persönlichstes Werk.
Die erste Single “Wondering If I’ll Ever Come Down” ist ein aufmüpfiger Elektro-Pop Song mit pochenden Pianoakkorden und lebensbejahender Message. Ganz nach dem Motto: „Mach das Beste aus jedem Tag, den Du hast.“ Lemaitre sagen dazu: “We wrote the hook and melody at 6am after a long day and night of just making music, drinking wine and doing mushrooms. We were quite literally wondering if we’d ever come down. We did, and to our pleasant surprise the song sounded good afterwards too. We kept working on it and it developed into this anthem about trying to keep going when things are hard, because they can only get better again.”
Über das neue Video sagt die Band: “Because of these strange times we are in, we weren´t able to be more people than the three of us, our director Lasse Nyhaugen had just learned some new neat tricks that we tested out. We quickly saw that it was something we could do as a music video, and seeing that the song was made on shrooms, it made sense to get a little trippy.“
