Es gibt endlich wieder Neuigkeiten von der 1996 gegründete Indie-Pop-Band aus San Francisco. Nach längerer Funkstille meldeten sich Imperial Teen gestern aus der Versenkung zurück. Ihr erstes Album seit sieben Jahren erscheint am 12. Juli 2019 bei Merge Records und heißt „Now We Are Timeless“ .
 
Das Quartett besteht aus Roddy Bottum, Lynn Perko-Truell, Will Schwartz und Jone Stebbins – und gibt folgendes Statement zum Comeback ab:  “Using our voice is all we can do. We step up, collective and proud, this family of ours that’s sustained and explored creatively for over twenty years. We’re not saying we do what we do better than anyone, but the individuality of our collective voice is all that we have and it’s what we do. We Do What We Do Best.”
 
Die erste Single „Now We Are Timeless“ feierte bereits auf Brooklyn Vegan Premiere (“crunchy, synthy, super-catchy indie rock”) und ist ab sofort online überall zu hören.
